Soil is also alive. It is built from the contributions of everything that came before, decomposed and integrated into the ground that now holds new growth. Every grain matters. The richness of the soil determines what can grow in it.

Soil donors are the foundation. The most numerous, the most essential, the ones who create the conditions everything else depends on. Without Soil, there is no place for the seed to be planted. Without Soil, Rain runs off and Sun burns the surface dry.
